Biography
Arkarna, the techno-pop trio, had Ollie Jacobs at its helm serving as both vocalist and programmer; his entry into music occurred during his teenage years at Rollover, the London studio owned by his father, where engineering and production work came his way on recordings involving Dreadzone, Deep Forest, Leftfield, among additional acts. Joining him in the group were guitarist James Barnett, previously of Lunarci, along with guitarist Lalo Creme, whose father Lol Creme had been part of 10cc. Although the band inked a deal with WEA during 1995, "House on Fire" did not emerge as their initial single until halfway through 1997, coinciding with its inclusion on the Batman and Robin film soundtrack following that costly production's commercial failure, and Fresh Meat, their debut album, came out shortly thereafter.
