Barón Rojo

Formed in 1981, Spanish metal outfit Baron Rojo came together through the efforts of sibling singers and guitarists Armando and Carlos De Castro, joined by bassist José Luis Campuzano and drummer Hermes Calabria. After signing with the Chapa label, the band released its debut album Larga Vida al Rock and maintained an annual schedule of new records until it disbanded in 1988. The De Castro brothers revived Baron Rojo four years later, enlisting bassist Ángel Arias and drummer José Martos for the refreshed lineup that delivered Desafio on Avispa, with Arma Secreta appearing on Clave five years after that.
