Austrian beatboxing collective Bauchklang came together in 1995 as a five-member ensemble. Blending a cappella singing with the vocal beatboxing technique, the group forged a distinctive sound shaped by hip-hop, dance music, and a wide array of electronic styles. Their first album, Jamzero, arrived in 2001 and achieved both commercial and critical success, securing two Amadeus Awards for the band in 2002. The follow-up, Many People, emerged in 2005 as their sophomore release. Signs, another studio album, appeared in 2010. The EPs Le Mans and Ray came next, issued in 2011 and 2012. Bauchklang then issued Akusmatik in 2013, an album produced by Patrick Pulsinger.
