Biography
Hailing from Antwerp, Belgium, the quartet Bed Rugs—Yannick Aerts, Stijn Boels, Noah Melis, and Arne Omloop—delivers psychedelic sounds that feel entirely current yet draw from the 1960s without slipping into retro imitation. Early in 2012 their debut album 8th Cloud arrived via a joint release from Munich and Waste My Records, after which live bookings quickly multiplied. In November 2012 the band tracked six songs with producer Neils Hendrix inside a church, and Paul Butler of the Bees mixed the resulting EP, Rapids, issued by Ample Play in May of 2013.
