Bliss

Danish electronic quartet Bliss crafts ambient soundscapes infused with cinematic textures and a brooding intensity. Comparisons to acts such as Massive Attack and Sade often surface, yet the ensemble originated as the vision of writer/producers Marc-George Anderson and Steffen Aaskoven. Vocalists Tchando and Alexandra Hamnede deliver soulful performances shaped by their respective African-tinged and jazz-based roots, yielding an ethereal blend of pan-global atmosphere. Long a fixture across Europe, the group reached North America in 2005 with Quiet Letters, a 12-track set drawn from both the first and second editions of the European release.
