Biography
In the mid-1970s, St. Louis native Michael Burton assembled the group Brother to Brother alongside session players Billy Jones, Frankie Prescott, and Yogi Horton. Their 1974 cover of Gil Scott-Heron's "In the Bottle" delivered strong results, landing at number nine on the R&B chart. Of all the tracks the band issued on Turbo, that single remained the only one to register any real impact.
