The National Radio And Television Chorus produces The Mysterious Voices of Bulgaria, the leading women's choir whose global reach stems from ethnomusicologist Marcel Cellier. Cellier's releases first surfaced on assorted import imprints and later reached Nonesuch, triggering widespread excitement throughout western Europe and the US while drawing sizable new listeners to the ensemble's bold reworkings of folk vocal traditions.
