Cavanaugh

Open Mike Eagle and Serengeti, longtime friends who held each other in high regard, operated as established left-field MCs before uniting in 2015 under the Cavanaugh moniker. Their first output arrived that year in the form of the concept album Time and Materials, which cast the pair as maintenance workers inside the Cavanaugh building. This made-up high-rise, set in Detroit, Florida, presents itself as an even mix of luxury condominiums and Section 8 housing. Guest appearances on the release came from P.O.S., Hemlock Ernst, and Busdriver.
