Biography
Chris Flory launched his professional career as a guitarist steeped in swing traditions with his debut gigs in Providence, Rhode Island, during 1974. His longstanding creative bond with Scott Hamilton began with their first joint performances in 1976, after which he collaborated with Benny Goodman between 1979 and 1985 as well as Roy Eldridge, Illinois Jacquet, Bob Wilber, Buddy Tate, and Ruby Braff, among other artists, and joined Judy Carmichael for a China tour in 1992. Multiple Concord releases showcase his playing, including two sessions under his own leadership and repeated work alongside Hamilton.
