Biography
Originating from Granada, flamenco guitarist Jose Valle, known professionally as Chuscales, upholds the Gitano flamenco lineage passed down in his family. Instruction from his father and grandfather, coupled with guidance from masters including Paco de Lucia, Serranito, and Manolo San Lucar, helped shape an approach that commands regard among both longstanding traditionalists and forward-looking practitioners in the flamenco world. Encuentros del Alma, his first album, appeared on Narada in 1999 with new flamenco artist Ottmar Liebert and producer Stefan Liebert credited as producers. Midnight in Madrid arrived two years afterward.
