Biography
Born in Figueres, Spain, singer/songwriter Kiko Veneno later established himself in Sevilla, where he first took the stage at a local university in 1971. He appeared in the duet Kiko y Germán before uniting with brothers Rafael and Raimundo Amador to launch the flamenco/pop group Veneno, which dissolved twelve months afterward. His debut solo album, Seré Mecánico por Tí, arrived in 1981 with production from José Luis de Carlos. Soon after, he assembled the project los Mártires del Compás together with Chico Ocaña and José Loreto. BMG/RCA issued the double-album greatest-hits set Puro Veneno in 1998, followed by the 2000 release La Familia Pollo, produced by Joe Dworniak, and Un Ratito de Gloria the following year.
