Biography
In the 1980s brothers Raimundo Amador and Rafael Amador launched the ensemble Pata Negra, whose name translates literally as Black Leg, Spain’s premier cut of ham. By merging flamenco traditions with amplified blues guitar the duo first reached listeners through the EP Guitarras Callajeras and later repeated that success with Blues de la Frontera. Artistic disagreements between the siblings have prompted the group to dissolve and reassemble on multiple occasions.
