Collectif Métissé

Originating in France, the Euro-dance outfit Collectif Métissé fuses tropical island stylings into its sound. Its first single, “Laisse-Toi Aller Bébé,” climbed to number two as a major 2009 success. An ethnically diverse lineup—Soma Riba, Willy William, Yann, Nadia Lahcene, and DJ Fou—delivered the group’s debut full-length that year. The self-titled Collectif Métissé album, crafted by producer Frédéric Crépin and issued through Universal Music, spotlighted the breakout track “Laisse-Toi Aller Bébé,” which held the number-two slot on the French singles chart and logged more than a dozen weeks inside the Top Ten. “On N’Est Pas Couché!” arrived next as the follow-up single.
