Miami-based producer Ish Ledesma assembled Company B as a freestyle and dance-pop trio. Already established through his earlier pop work leading Foxy during the 1970s and Oxo during the 1980s, Ledesma outfitted the group in white wigs and blue leather. Their debut single “Fascinated” ignited dance floors throughout 1986, then entered the pop chart in early 1987 before reaching number 21 by June. Later releases “Full Circle,” “Perfect Lover,” and “Jam on Me” registered only modest mainstream impact yet continued to thrive in clubs; all appeared on the self-titled album that briefly entered the charts late that summer. After a lineup shift, the follow-up Gotta Dance attracted scant attention beyond dance circles. Two further sets, 3 and Irrisistible (also known as Goddess of Love), surfaced in the 1990s. Different configurations kept recording and performing into the 2010s. In 2017 Ledesma gathered previously unheard Company B recordings and issued them as Goddess of Love.
