Biography
Forming in the Bay Area, the alternative rock quartet Creeper Lagoon featured singer/guitarist Ian Sefchick, multi-instrumentalist Sharky Laguana, drummer David Kostiner, and bassist Geoffrey Chisholm, who was later succeeded by Dan Carr. The group unveiled its debut LP, I Become Small and Go, on the Nickelbag label in 1998, the same year SPIN crowned them best New Artist. Watering Ghost Garden arrived two years afterward, while Take Back the Universe And Give Me Yesterday surfaced in early 2001. The ensuing summer brought a contract with Arena Rock Recordings as the band readied an EP for release in the months ahead. Creeper Lagoon further supplied its take on "Why Me" to the Kris Kristofferson tribute album Nothing Left to Lose, which Incidental released in October 2002.
