Biography
Originating from Crystal City, Texas, where each of its five bilingual members first entered the world, Culturas distinguishes itself among Tejano acts through a singular sound. Fronted by Delia Gonzales, the ensemble issued its self-titled debut in 1992 and has collected numerous regional awards ever since. Working chiefly with Manny Music and released via WEA Latina, the follow-up Culture Shock earned gold certification and yielded major successes including “Loco, Loco” and “Golpe Traidor,” both later adapted into music videos. The retrospective Greatest Hits arrived in 1998.
