HayCzar and Enok made up the Cincinnati rap duo Czar*Nok, whose first release, That One Way, appeared on Priority Records in 2005. The pair, recognized for a streetwise yet polished approach, had already spent nearly a decade working together before reaching a major-label platform. Although southern Ohio held little reputation as a hip-hop stronghold, the two artists still labored to place the area on the rap landscape through partnerships with recognized names such as Three 6 Mafia and Kanye West.
