Biography
Dave Eggar, recognized as a New Age pianist, launched his professional path while holding the Leonard Bernstein scholarship at Harvard University, where his debut performance took place at Carnegie Hall. Engagements at the Kennedy Center came next, followed by his 1987 designation as a Presidential Scholar of the Arts. After completing his doctorate at the Julliard School of Music, Eggar explored an array of styles through work with the Who, Ornette Coleman, and Kathleen Battle, while also composing scores for films such as Claire Dolan and Henry Hill. He later accepted a faculty role at New York University and issued his first solo recording, Serenity, in 1998.
