Diabolic

Emerging from Tampa, FL’s thriving death metal scene, Diabolic came together in 1997 with vocalist/bassist Paul Ouellete, guitarists Brian Malone and Jerry Mortellaro, and drummer Aantar “Blastmaster” Coates. Shortly after their inception the quartet tracked the well-received demo City of the Dead, which earned underground acclaim and later resurfaced on Fadeless augmented by two bonus tracks. Their debut full-length, Supreme Evil, was laid down in 1998 and issued stateside by Conquest Records while Hammerheart handled European distribution. In 2000 the band captured their follow-up, Subterraneal Magnitude, which Hammerheart unveiled the following summer. Later that autumn their third album, Vengeance Ascending, marked their inaugural outing on Olympic. Amid these sessions Diabolic shared stages with Morbid Angel, Cannibal Corpse, Hate Eternal, and Marduk.
