Biography
Formed in 1999 by Det and DJ Illegal, two longtime hip-hop enthusiasts who joined forces to craft beats, the German production crew Snowgoons grew its ranks in 2006 when Torben and DJ Waxwork came aboard. Their sonic approach has frequently been likened to the Wu-Tang Clan. After inking a deal with New York-based Babygrande Records, the group’s debut full-length, German Lager, reached stores in early 2007 and showcased verses from an array of MCs that included Celph Titled, Sean Price, Jus Allah, Chief Kamachi, MED, Rasco, and Wise Intelligent, among others.
