Chino XL

East Orange, New Jersey native Chino issued his first full-length project, Here to Save You All, during 1996 while also logging numerous memorable guest spots on the morning program “The Wakeup Show,” hosted by DJ Sway and Tech. Widely recognized as the king of metaphors—an apt title given his skill—Chino XL delivered verses dense with punch lines that continue to reward listeners who favor that style. He passed away on July 28, 2024, at the age of 50.
