The Gospel Hi-Lites of South Carolina, fronted by Doc McKenzie, count more than a dozen LPs among their output on imprints that include Savoy, Meltone, Shurfine, and First Lite. Particularly favored by McKenzie is the trilogy of miracles titled “The Little Girl Fell,” which appears on the 1995 album Man in the Middle.
