Biography
The snarly post-punk-influenced tones of Dogs arise from Johnny Cooke on vocals, Luciano Vargas on vocals and guitar, Rikka Mehta on guitar, Duncan Timms on bass, and Rich Mitchell on drums. The London five-piece formed in 2004 and secured a deal with Island in the U.K. before the year concluded. Their opening single "London Bridge" sold out after one day, while the next releases "She's Got a Reason" and "Turned to a Different Station" delivered the group's earliest U.K. Top 40 placements. John Cornfield, whose credits include Supergrass, Razorlight, and Boy Kill Boy, produced the album Turn Against This Land, issued in August 2005.
