Biography
Formed as a Celtic ensemble, Dordan features three female musicians hailing from County Galway: Mary Bergin on tin whistle, Kathleen Loughnane on harp, and Dearbhail Standun on fiddle. The group’s Gaelic name translates to “drone.” Their debut recording, Jigs To The Moon, appeared in 1994, while greater recognition followed with the Narada holiday release The Night Before … A Celtic Christmas. In 1999 they issued Celtic Aire through Narada and Irish Traditional & Baroque Music via Shanachie.
