E-Dubble, an east coast rapper, entered the world in Philadelphia’s suburban neighborhoods in 1982. His first experiments with music occurred during his enrollment at St. Mary’s College of Maryland, where he connected with other musicians and began casually producing an assortment of recordings for fun, among them commercial spoofs, country numbers, and rock pieces. The circle launched a website to share their work and later formed the hip-hop outfit Young English, which delivered its debut performance in 2008. After finishing college, E-Dubble joined his bandmates in a converted warehouse in Baltimore, the site where he completed his first album, Hip-Hop Is Good. He kept feeding material to the website over the following year, posting a fresh track each Friday in the Freestyle Fridays series. The routine sharpened his technique, and by 2012 the seven-foot Caucasian had drawn attention for his incisive wordplay on the seven-track Reset EP.
