Emily

The Mexican vocalist Emily, whose birth name is Marycruz Emilia González Careaga, made her initial entry into the industry by becoming part of the group Hermanos Villarroel on their album Te Van A Conquistar, which highlighted her debut success with the track "Popurri Atrevido." Her first individual release, the 1996 album Quiereme Cual Soy, came under the production of Carlos Alvarado. One year after that came Enamorada, which contained the popular song "Vaquero Guapo" penned by José Guadalupe Esparza. Following the release of Muy Especial, Emily saw her composition "Tu Cariñito" ascend the Mexican pop rankings during 1999. Norteñísima, recognized as her major breakthrough effort, was helmed by producer Elías González in 2001.
