Biography
Eric Gale, a guitarist frequently enlisted for R&B-focused recording sessions who also dabbled in jazz, possessed a charming tone and performed at his strongest when delivering relaxed, tuneful blues lines. His primary contributions to jazz occurred in the early 1970s via repeated sideman work for CTI, later association with the ensemble Stuff, and occasional appearances on his own dates. The caliber of his 1987 EmArcy album In a Jazz Tradition demonstrates the depth of his abilities.
