Biography

Emerging from Oslo studio sessions, the Norwegian folktronica quartet Flunk originated with three local musicians: producer Ulf Nygaard of Folk and Rovere, guitarist Jo Bakke formerly of the Happy Campers, and drummer Erik Ruud from the Guidance-label act Antenna. Vocalist Anja Oyen Vister soon joined, after which the group tracked its debut album For Sleepyheads Only and issued the project via Guidance. Their folkie cover of New Order's "Blue Monday" gained modest traction during the 2002 downbeat surge.
