French singer Frida Boccara shared victory at the 1969 Eurovision Song Contest as one of four joint winners, standing alongside Dutch vocalist Lennie Kuhr, the U.K.'s Lulu, and Spain's Salomé. Born October 29, 1940, in Casablanca, Morocco, she succumbed to a pulmonary infection on August 1, 1996.
