Biography
Hachioji, Japan served as the birthplace of the hip-hop trio Funky Monkey Babys, whose members Funky Kato, Monn-Kichi, and DJ Chemical came together in 2004 before signing with the Dreamusic label. Their opening single, "Sono Manma Higashi He," appeared in January 2005, while the self-titled debut album Funky Monkey Babys reached stores the year after. Late December 2007 brought the follow-up release Funky Monkey Babys, Vol. 2, which landed inside Japan's top ten.
