Biography
Giulio Briccialdi established himself as an Italian flutist and composer devoted to that instrument. A defining achievement in his professional life involved a technical advancement on the flute: the incorporation of a B-flat key, an idea later refined in Florence. His catalog included concertos and operatic fantasies written for flute, along with a single opera. Briccialdi also served on the faculties of multiple conservatories while appearing in concert throughout Europe and across the United States.
