Biography
Gogi Grant entered the world as a pop singer on September 20, 1924, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Her single "The Wayward Wind" ranked among the biggest successes of 1956. That same year, Billboard magazine named her Most Popular Female Vocalist. Even so, the recognition proved fleeting, as she never matched the impact of her solitary hit despite issuing five albums across the two-year window from 1957 to 1959.
