Guy Forsyth

Guy Forsyth, a guitarist, vocalist, interpreter, and composer residing in Austin, Texas, shares the habits of many musicians in that city. The Guy Forsyth Band delivered its Discovery/Warner Bros. debut Needle Gun in 1995. The quartet revives the blues-rock style on this release and steers the music into previously unexplored areas. Forsyth’s bandmates on the album include Gil T. on bass, Keith Bradley on guitar, and Rich Chilleri on drums. The recording balances blues, rock & roll, and Americana in equal measure. Forsyth conveys his vocals with firm conviction, adding harmonica and heated guitar lines. Onstage the group produces the loud, unrefined, and boisterous energy expected from any capable blues-rock unit. Can You Live Without appeared in 1999, followed by Steak a year later.
