Originating in London after tracing their roots to Italy, Husky Loops operate as a distinctive rock trio that blends jagged post-punk riffs with hip-hop and indie pop ingredients. Two self-released EPs from 2017 secured them a deal on Danger Mouse’s 30th Century Records, where the infectious 2018 track “Everytime I Run” brought them wider attention.

Pier Danio Forni on vocals and guitar, Pietro Garrone on drums, and Tommaso Medica on bass first crossed paths during their Bologna upbringing. Although Forni and Garrone attended school together in Italy, each musician relocated to London on separate timelines before reuniting to launch Husky Loops. Drawing the angular edge of post-punk together with rhythmic pulses drawn from Afro-beat and hip-hop, the group issued a run of independent singles and EPs that began around 2014. Momentum built steadily until, after their second 2017 EP, they joined the 30th Century roster.

Their first release on the label, “Everytime I Run,” marked a clear breakthrough and gained extra exposure through placement on the FIFA 19 game soundtrack. A stretch of touring and prominent festival slots across the U.K. and Europe preceded the arrival of their third EP, Spool, in 2018. Early the next year they followed with the single “Let Go for Nothing.”
