Biography
Featuring bassist Mike Watt, the experimental rock trio Il Sogno del Marinaio unites singer/guitarist Stefano Pilia with drummer Andrea Belfi. A legendary punk and alt-rock musician through his work in Minutemen and fIREHOSE, Watt first encountered Pilia during a 2005 tour stop in Italy. Pilia and Belfi extended an invitation for Watt to join them on the road in 2009, at which point Il Sogno del Marinaio came into being. The group issued its debut album, Busta Gialla, in 2013, revealing a blend of punk, noise rock, and jazz influences.
