Biography
Indigo Swing, a retro-swing ensemble, originated in San Francisco around its six founding members: vocalist Johnny Boyd, guitarist Josh Workman, bassist Vance Ehlers, drummer "Big Jim" Overton, pianist William Beatty and saxophone player Baron Shul. Having ignited northern California’s new wave of swing, the unit launched national tours and secured a contract with Time Bomb Recordings in 1997. Its debut album All Aboard appeared in July 1998, followed by Red Light in 1999.
