Is Tropical

Emerging from London in 2009, the electro-rock trio Is Tropical quickly gained notice via their debut single When O' When, which Hit Club Records put out in 2010. After inking a deal with Kitsuné, the group enlisted producer Jimmy Robertson—whose prior credits include Mystery Jets and Big Pink—to shape their first album, the 2011 release Native To, which followed the earlier singles South Pacific and The Greeks, whose Megaforce-directed video spread rapidly across YouTube. Having spent the bulk of 2011 and 2012 on the road alongside Klaxons, Egyptian Hip Hop, and Crystal Fighters, Is Tropical headed back into the studio with producer Luke Smith to cut their next record. The Flags EP, featuring contributions from Get People and Owen Pratt, surfaced early in 2013 and set the stage for the May arrival of the band’s sophomore album, I’m Leaving.
