Biography
Born in England, Green first came to the attention of rock and pop listeners in the UK through his work with the Pretty Things, after which he moved to Canada to develop his career as a solo artist. Although he is now often reduced to “where are they now?” mentions in his homeland, the string of RCA Records albums he issued in Canada earned him a devoted cult audience there. Humanesque, which included a guest appearance by Ritchie Blackmore of Rainbow on one track, and Essential Logic both combined tuneful pop melodies with Green’s characteristic rock guitar style. With Latest Game he switched to FM/Revolver, yet the album’s UK distribution generated scant critical response despite the standing and reputation he had already secured in Canada.
