Biography
Jeff Talmadge pursues folk-rock as a musician while also working as an associate baseball scout for a major league team, serving as a Capitol Hill spin doctor, maintaining a law practice, and earning recognition as an award-winning poet. This singer/songwriter crafts romantic lyrics marked by perceptive humor. His combination of vivid imagery exploring shifting relationships and energetic stage presence built a loyal audience across his home state of Texas. Secret Anniversaries, his first album, appeared in 1999 and reached number 16 on that year's Crossroads folk playlist. The Spinning of the World arrived the following year, drawing strong critical praise and placing Talmadge as a finalist in the 1999 KRCL Songwriting Competition held during the Founder's Title Folk and Bluegrass Festival in Park City, Utah. Beyond recording and performing, he belongs to the U.S. Folk Alliance and established The Austin Conspiracy of Performing Songwriters.
