Biography
Born in Ottawa, percussionist Jeremy Gara earns greatest recognition through his role as Arcade Fire’s drummer, even while engaging in multiple Canadian-based endeavors. His earliest steady position was behind the kit for Keplar, a post he maintained from 2000 through 2005, before entering Arcade Fire in 2006 in time for the band’s second album, Neon Bible. While maintaining an active touring schedule with one of Canada’s most prominent acts, he folded in separate collaborations that included Clark, Weights and Measures, and Snailhouse. The year 2016 saw the arrival of his first solo album, Limn, built around electronic pieces that often leaned ambient. Passerine Finale followed as his second album in 2020.
