JESSIA

JESSIA, the Canadian singer-songwriter, confronts topics like mental health and self-acceptance through her bold and straightforward pop compositions. Having appeared on EDM productions from various creators in the latter part of the 2010s, her breakthrough arrived in 2021 via the body-positive tribute "I'm Not Pretty," which quickly turned into a viral sensation.

Jessika Harling, originally from Vancouver, lent her vocals to multiple future bass tracks by producers including EQRIC and KENO across 2018 and 2019. In 2020, she launched introspective solo efforts backed by guitars, such as "Conviction" and "Really Nice to Think About."

At the outset of 2021, JESSIA teamed with producer Elijah Woods to craft "I'm Not Pretty" in just 72 hours, sharing the creation live on TikTok. Released independently, the track surged in popularity as an anthem for Gen Z embracing body positivity, accumulating vast streaming numbers. Building on this momentum, she issued further singles "I Should Quit" and "First Call" before the year ended.
