Biography
During the 1980s, Jon Bon Jovi built his hard rock band Bon Jovi into a global sensation through the multi-platinum releases Slippery When Wet and New Jersey. He paused the band's activities in 1990 to record the solo effort Blaze of Glory, drawing inspiration for its tracks from the film Young Guns II. Its title song reached the top position on the U.S. charts, the subsequent single "Miracle" charted just beyond the Top Ten, and the project achieved double-platinum status. Although the band Bon Jovi resumed operations in 1992 via Keep the Faith, its lead singer still pursued individual endeavors over the next twenty years, such as the 1997 follow-up solo release Destination Anywhere.
