Biography
Originating from Long Island, the rap trio JVC Force took its name from the phrase "Justified by Virtue of Creativity for All Reasons Concerning Entertainment," a formulation that would in practice spell "J.V.C. Farce." The lineup paired DJ Curt Cazal with MCs AJ Rok and MC B-Luv. After signing to B-Boy, the group surfaced through the underground hit single "Strong Island," a track that became its defining statement. Although several follow-up cuts approached the same level, none ever surpassed it. The only full-length releases left behind were the 1988 album Doin' Damage and 1990's Force Field.
