Biography
Kate Price began her recording career supplying backing vocals for rocker Kenny Loggins, yet her own releases display a Celtic-tinged folk artist shaped by Loreena McKennitt’s cross-cultural explorations. A native of Santa Barbara, California, she earned her initial credit in 1991 on Loggins’ Leap of Faith album. Two years afterward Price issued her first solo album, The Time Between, on the Priceless label, then returned in 1995 with Deep Heart's Core. She has also shared stages with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and her third solo album, Isle of Dreaming, appeared in spring 2000.
