Biography
Kevin Nealon spent more than a decade as a core presence on Saturday Night Live, anchoring Weekend Update and creating memorable figures such as Mr. Subliminal between the mid-1980s and mid-1990s, and he later became a recurring cast member on the series Weeds. Though he began his career in standup, his debut comedy album did not appear until 2013. A native of Bridgeport, Connecticut, where he was born and raised, Nealon entered the Not Ready for Primetime players during SNL’s 1986 season. Following his exit from the program in 1996, he appeared in Adam Sandler’s Little Nicky (2000) and David Spade’s Joe Dirt (2001). In 2005 he joined the ensemble of Showtime’s Weeds, portraying Doug Wilson across more than one hundred episodes. That same network broadcast his standup special Whelmed...But Not Overly in 2013, the year New Wave Dynamics issued the recording as an album.
