Biography
U.K. psychobilly outfit Klingonz assembled in 1988 around the founding roster of Titch on vocals, Doyley on guitar, Strangy on bass, and Mocker on drums. The quartet cut its debut full-length, Psycho's from Beyond, in 1990 before mounting tours that took the group across Europe and Japan. When the musicians returned to the studio to lay down their sophomore album Blurb, Strangy exited to enlist in Karloff, the project fronted by his brother. Eddie assumed the bass chair, enabling Klingonz to sustain its touring and recording schedule and ultimately issue four further albums before Doyley departed, with Mick stepping in on guitar. Doyley and Strangy subsequently launched the band Celtic Bones. After a short hiatus, the original members reconvened Klingonz in 2001. Two years afterward they issued the greatest-hits album The Best of Klingonz and Up Uranus, which featured new material.
