La Tropa Vallenata

Tropa Vallenata first appeared in 1986 in Mexico’s Monterrey, Nuevo Leon area and remained prominent exponents of cumbia for many years. The 1996 album Los Caminos de la Vida marked their breakthrough on U.S. soil by reaching the summit of the Latin charts; Mi Cafetal followed in 1998, with Cada Latido Cada Ti Quiero arriving the next year. Early 2001 brought the eclectic release Fantasia 666.
