Lakuna

David Narcizo, born May 6, 1966, in Newport, RI, directed his energies into Lakuna after serving as drummer for Throwing Muses; the venture took shape as an instrumental electronic project. A co-founder of the Muses, he remained the only participant besides frontwoman Kristin Hersh to hold a steady place in the lineup from the band's 1980 formation until its 1997 dissolution. After the Muses ended, Narcizo launched Lakuna as essentially a solo effort that drew additional contributions from associates including Hersh and Frank Gardner, with the 12-inch "So Happy" appearing shortly before the 1999 release on 4AD of the full-length Castle of Crime.
