Biography
William LaTour, operating under the alias LaTour, worked as a Chicago house producer and landed a major club crossover smash in 1991 with the novelty hit "People Are Still Having Sex," which appeared on his self-titled debut LP. Later efforts to match that breakthrough, such as the follow-up single "Allen's Got a New Hi-Fi," fell short, while the 1993 release Home on the Range drew scant notice before LaTour disappeared from view altogether.
