Consolidated

Consolidated rose to minor prominence at the start of the 1990s through their provocative and insistently progressive dance tracks. The ensemble not only professed socialist ideals but embedded every ideological statement directly within their tracks, resulting in releases that remained boldly ideological and at times deliberately provocative. Attention came primarily from these ideological elements rather than the fusion of hip-hop and industrial sounds they employed. Following several subdued years, the group returned in 1994’s summer months bearing fresh material; a further extended absence came before the arrival of Dropped in 1998.
